Bravely Default Brilliant Lights Smartphone Game
On February 28 at 3 p.m. JST, Square Enix announced that service for the Bravely Default Brilliant Lights mobile game will terminate. Square Enix will publish a game mode that describes the game’s plot, characters, and foes once the game’s subscription service expires.
On January 27, Square Enix made the game available in Japan.
The game has the “Brave” and “Default” commands from the series along with a turn-based fighting system. For mobile devices, Square Enix improved the fighting mechanism. In the game, recognisable characters and settings from the Bravely Default series coexist alongside brand-new characters. Bravely Default Brilliant Lights Smartphone Game Ends Service in February.
Although in-app purchases are optional, the game is free to play.
In October 2012, Square Enix launched the first version of Bravely Default: Flying Fairy for the Nintendo 3DS. Bravely Default: For the Sequel, an improved version of the game, was released for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan in December 2013 and in North America in February 2014.
Bravely Second: End Layer for the Nintendo 3DS was published by Square Enix in Japan in April 2015, Europe in February 2016, and North America in April 2016.
The video game Bravely Default II was released in February 2021 for the Nintendo Switch and in September 2021 for the PC through Steam.
