Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom Anime Film’s
On Sunday, the team behind Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom, the anime adaptation of Nao Iwamoto’s Kin no Kuni Mizu no Kuni manga, unveiled a brand-new trailer. The initial encounter between Sara and Naranbayar is seen in the footage. The footage is introduced by the voice actors for the characters. The movie will premiere in Japan on January 27, 2023.


The movie had its international debut on October 21 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, as part of the Animation is Film Festival.
Starring in the anime movie are Minami Hamabe as Sara and Kento Kaku as Naranbayar.

Saladin, the Left Minister of the Gold Kingdom, as played by Hiroshi Kamiya
Lailala, played by Miyuki Sawashiro, is an enigmatic employee of the Gold Kingdom.
Subaru Kimura as Jauhara, a student of the Gold Kingdom
Keiko Toda plays Leopoldine, the first princess of the Gold Kingdom, and Chafurin plays Piripappa, the Minister of the Right.
The movie was directed by BtooomKotono !’s Watanabe and starred Masaki Terasoma as Oduni, Banjou Ginga as Rastavan III, and Masaki Terasoma as the grandfather of the Water Kingdom. The screenplay was written by Fumi Tsubota (12-Sai: Chiccha na Mune ni Tokimeki, Hugtto! Precure, Waccha PriMagi!). The animation supervisor is listed as Mitsuyuki Masuhara. The tunes were created by Violet Evergarden’s Evan Call. The production coordination is attributed to NTV, while Warner Bros. Japan is in charge of distribution.
The “Brand New World” theme song is performed by Kotone. The songs “Love Birds” and “Yasashii Yokan” are also performed by Kotone.
The manga is set between two warring kingdoms that have had a long history of strained relations. Sara and Naranbayar, a princess and young man from opposite nations who meet by happenstance and discover they must function as a pair to keep peace in their kingdoms, are at the core of the narrative. Yet they discover that they are gradually falling in love with one another.
In October 2014, Iwamoto debuted the manga in Flowers shjo manga magazine published by Shogakukan. In 2016, Shogakukan released the manga’s only book volume.
The female readers’ list for Takarajimasha’s 2017 edition of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) was led by Kin no Kuni Mizu no Kuni. Additionally, it was a 2017 nominee for the 10th Manga Taisho award.
