Summer Is the Season of Anime!
Anime is fantastic all year long. We can curl up with our body pillows and anime blankets during the chilly winter months to watch fantastic series like Demon Slayer’s Entertainment District Arc and Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2. Sabikui Bisco and My Dress-Up Darling are two excellent new series that we can watch during the spring, but let’s be honest—summer is when we really want to watch anime! The way that summer anime is received is completely different, and we’ll demonstrate that today! Here are some reasons why the summer anime season is the best:
School Freedom and Vacation Days
There isn’t enough time for life and anime during the spring, which is why spring break is known throughout the world as the time of year when college students—and some working adults—jump out of their classrooms and into their local pools or beaches! During the summer months, schools are typically closed or at least operate on a scaled-back schedule, and many parents have days off to spend time with their children or take short trips. Because there is more time to merely binge watch anime you missed throughout the spring and watch newer series as they air in your comfortable AC-controlled rooms, the summer season is perfect for anime.
The Best Air During the Summer
Realistically, fantastic anime episodes occasionally show in the fall or spring, but let’s take a look at the most recent summer anime seasons and ask ourselves whether these weren’t the finest of 2021 and 2020. Re: ZERO Season 2, Great Pretender, and My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax were all released in 2020. The Case Study of Vanitas, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Part 2, and Sonny Boy! All of these shows were fantastic anime productions that we wholeheartedly recommend viewing, and they all aired in the summer! Although we don’t yet have a complete list of airing series, summer 2022 already looks promising with anime like the eagerly anticipated second season of The Devil is a Part-Timer, season 4 of Overlord, and season 2 of Classroom of the Elite! Every year in recent memory has shown that legendary programmes air during the summer!
Summer Can Sometimes Fall a Bit Flat…
Following our previous remark, we are aware that many anime viewers are prepared to say, “These shows weren’t great,” before pointing us in the direction of the worst anime that aired over the summer, most likely Scarlet Nexus, which was not well received by both us and a large portion of the anime community. We won’t lie, not every summer release will be the best anime of the year, but every season has a few less popular, weaker anime. No season can have a list of all-time great anime episodes, and if that day ever comes, we’ll be watching anime for months to catch up!
The best time to watch anime, in my opinion, is during the summer when life’s and/or school’s problems don’t interfere. A nice room, avoiding the dreadful weather outside, and glueing your eyes to your monitors or laptops feels almost like a reward for working hard all year. Which season do you people prefer to watch anime in? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below, and stay tuned to Honey’s Anime this summer for even more news and articles about anime!
