In the past few years, the otome isekai sub-genre has practically taken over the market. For those who are unfamiliar, otome games are female-focused dating sims that typically include a heroine chasing a love interest while eliminating a villain in the process. Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shite shimatta (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!) is among the most well-known otome-themed isekai manga (and anime) of recent years.
There isn’t a lot of variety in the narratives, much like the isekai genre as a whole. Shoujo isekai feature reincarnated villainesses attempting to evade their own seeming impending doom, in contrast to shounen isekai which feature magical heroes with a harem of ladies.
And while the story in Higeki no Genkyoutonaru Saikyou Gedou Rasubosu Joou wa Taminotameni Tsukushimasu (The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior) undoubtedly begins in that tried-and-true manner, halfway through the first volume, the plot dramatically diverges from the clichés. By the last page, we were completely hooked, and the cliffhanger conclusion (pun intended, for those who have read it) made us eagerly anticipate the release of the second volume!
So join us today on Honey’s Anime as we discuss the manga volume one of The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen (The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior)!

Discussion Time
As we just said, it’s simple to get a touch jaded when it comes to popular genres. The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen also doesn’t accomplish anything to set itself out in the first few chapters. At the tender age of eight, our main character, Pride Royal Ivy (such a regal name! ), wakes her old memories. She passed away in Japan when she was eighteen and has since returned as the villain in her favourite otome game, where she will perish in 10 years at the hands of her adoptive little sister.
So far, nothing unusual. Those who have read or watched My Next Life as a Villainess will no doubt recognise this. But The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen chooses a darker tone rather than a funny or romantic one. The future Pride commits heinous crimes, especially against her adoptive brother, whom she (by the conventional method) coerces into killing his own mother as part of a legally binding slave agreement.
When Pride remembers her past, she alters the course of the game, saving her brother and winning his steadfast loyalty in the process. Moments like these recur throughout the book’s second half as Pride sincerely tries to rule her future subjects with kindness and love. Pride merely wants to do what’s right, whether or whether it changes her destiny, as opposed to Katarina in My Next Life as a Villainess, who is only seeking to avert her own misfortune.
The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior’s crisp, well-directed art fits well into the contemporary shoujo style. Higeki no Genkyoutonaru Saikyou Gedou Rasubosu Joou wa Taminotameni Tsukushimasu Although we had hoped for a few more comical scenes to balance out the serious tone of the story, we still value an otome isekai that isn’t afraid to get its hands filthy.
Why You Should Read Higeki no Genkyoutonaru Saikyou Gedou Rasubosu Joou wa Taminotameni Tsukushimasu (The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior)

1. Flipping the Script
This isn’t your typical otome isekai, despite what the first few chapters might lead you to believe. As we’ve already stated. The abrupt turn toward a darker plotline comes out of the field, but it gives more significance to Pride’s deeds and her ambition to become a just, compassionate king. She accepts that while preventing her own death is undoubtedly a goal, she may not be able to do so and so she wants to live a noble life without luxury or fanfare and be the leader her people deserve.
Precognition, Pride’s magical ability, gives her a good “out” for knowing the game’s happenings. But changing the plot of the game appears to be influencing other characters. We’re intrigued to see how the story unfolds since political intrigue is also going on beneath the surface. It won’t go exactly as Pride remembered.
Final Thoughts
The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior. Or Higeki no Genkyoutonaru Saikyou Gedou Rasubosu Joou wa Taminotameni Tsukushimasu. If we’re being completely honest, was not something we expected to enjoy nearly as much. This manga succeeds in overcoming. The expected clichés and boldly making a name for itself in a sub-genre overrun with tired beginning points.
The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen will undoubtedly be a success. If you’ve been looking for an otome isekai that’s a little bloody and a little dark!
